CHAVARA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND MEDIA STUDIES, KOCHI (CIMAMS),the educational wing of CHAVARA CULTURAL CENTRE, KOCHI, commenced its activities in 1984. CIMAMS is part of C M I congregation and the organisation is lead CMI priests with an objective to promote higher learning and educate the young citizen-leaders of our country. St Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of the CMI Congregation is the guiding light and the heavenly patron of our institute.

Institute offers B.Voc. Degree in Catering Technology & Hotel Management , making it an ideal career choice for those who demonstrate an interest in the culinary arts or the hospitality industry. This study program provides students with a solid foundation in theory and current practices of the hotel management industry and prepares them for an all-round career development. With access to state-of-the-art instructional facilities designed to simulate the kitchens of restaurants, hotels and large production operations, students receive personal instruction and mentorship from certified chefs and experienced industry professionals. In the days to come, CIMAMS plans to introduce a student-run restaurant within the campus that will be a training ground for hotel management students.

My family is settled in Goa I was searching for A Good college when I got the info about Chavara Institute kochi and when I got to know the they have the best Placement cell across the Country and they have been there in this field for more than 50 years so I didn't think about anything else and I joined here .Currently I am persuing BVOC Hotel Management(5th Sem) We have the best Teachers and Faculty members Each and every Department we can study briefly with they have Fully equipped equipments in kitchen , And Bakery and other Departments. Curricular activities they have Annual meet, Sports day , House competition, College Trip which I will cherish the rest of life it was 10 day trip to Delhi, Manali , Presentation, Personality Development class, German, French, classes And Interviews which will polish us to become a Good Skilled person for the industry.
